Salesforce Deepens Commitment in Indonesia with Entity, Availability of Hyperforce and Digital Skills Partnership

  • A new entity will allow Salesforce to help more businesses in Indonesia unlock the full potential of AI, data, and CRM
  • Hyperforce, a reimagination of Salesforce’s platform architecture for the public cloud, built on Amazon Web Services, now available in Indonesia
  • Partnership with The Ministry of Communication and Informatics (KOMINFO) will train Indonesians to take on jobs in the digital economy

Salesforce, the #1 AI CRM, today announced that it is deepening its commitment to Indonesia, with the launch of its new Indonesian entity and availability of Hyperforce, its public cloud infrastructure built on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The efforts aim to create a greater impact on and support the growth of businesses in Indonesia.

The new Indonesian entity will bring Salesforce’s team and decision-making closer to customers and partners in the market and enable Salesforce to tap into the local talent pool. It comes at a decisive time as businesses look to digitally transform to capture new opportunities and meet growing customer expectations in a fast-growing economy. Indonesia is the largest digital economy in ASEAN, and technological adoption is expected to grow the economy by as much as $2.8 trillion by 2040, according to the Ministry of Finance.

Salesforce helps organisations drive greater efficiency and productivity, and enhance customer experiences through Customer 360, its portfolio of products and services which combines the power of AI, data, and CRM.
Organisations such as GoTo, Lion Parcel, Xendit, United Tractors, and Ministry of Health Indonesia, are working with Salesforce on their digital transformation journeys and reporting tangible business outcomes including improved productivity, shorter service resolution times and increased customer satisfaction. Salesforce partners in Indonesia currently include Deloitte, PwC, TMS, Metrodata, Trees Solutions and more.

Bringing the power of Hyperforce to Indonesia

Salesforce also announced that Hyperforce is now generally available in Indonesia. Hyperforce, built on AWS, one of the world’s leading cloud providers, is a reimagination of Salesforce’s platform architecture for the public cloud that helps deliver customer trust. With increased emphasis on data security and storage, local data residency is imperative for regional and global organisations in regulated industries such as the government or financial services. This launch creates more options for customers, including those in highly regulated industries, to grow globally and serve customers locally.

Delivered through a global strategic partnership with AWS, Hyperforce will help empower Salesforce customers by leveraging the scale, agility, reliability, and security of AWS to quickly and easily deploy Salesforce solutions including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and more. Hyperforce also boosts interoperability with AWS to deliver differentiated value to customers, improve availability, and reduce planned maintenance downtime.

Partnership with KOMINFO to cultivate talent for Indonesia’s digital economy

Salesforce has announced a partnership with KOMINFO to provide CRM curriculum and training for KOMINFO’s Digital Talent Scholarship Program. Under the partnership, participants will have access to develop Salesforce Administrator, Developer and App Builder capabilities. Training will be conducted on Trailhead, Salesforce’s free online learning platform, and through expert-led workshops. Nokentech will support the delivery of training to participants. The program will be run by Fresh Graduate Academy DTS and will open for enrolment on 25 August 2023. The training will start in mid-September 2023.

This is part of Salesforce’s continuing commitment to addressing the skills imperative in Indonesia, by equipping local talent with the tools and skills to take on jobs in the digital economy. Earlier in March 2023, Salesforce announced its partnership with Nokentech to train up to 100,000 students in Indonesia with CRM skills over three years. The partnership supports equitable access to digital skills with women making up 50 per cent of students trained.
