All about Hadoop
Hadoop is the technology that transforms how we can store and analyse data. Hadoop can ingest any type of data no matter the format, store it and then enable analysis. Hadoop can store data from many sources including devices on the Internet of Things, social media, and corporate data. It can store and index vast amounts of this disparate data with nearly unlimited potential to expand as the volume of data expands.
Hadoop is an open-source software project under the Apache Software Foundation. However, there are also commercial Hadoop software packages or distributions in the market today.
Learn more about it in latest Data & Storage Asean’s Executive Guide to Hadoop, which is supported by Cloudera, one of the leading pure-play Hadoop software distributions and has the advantage of having the creator of Hadoop, Doug Cutting, as their Chief Architect.
