When Pete Sison, Vice President for Information Technology, first joined Rustan Commercial Corporation (RCC) in 2015, he stated that one of the main problems the company had was email. The open source email software they were using at the time presented the corporation with various challenges.
“We were not using any enterprise-grade email solution back then. We used an open source solution and we didn’t get any kind of support. So you can imagine the problems that we and the department stores encountered. It was very unsecure, very unreliable. We were prone to all sorts of cyber threats, such as malware, email scams, phishing and even hacking. Security was severely lacking and we were pretty much exposed,” said Pete.
